English: Lowestoft Sixth Form College is an innovative purpose built college and the only sixth-form college in Suffolk. It opened in September 2011 and replaced the then Lowestoft Sixth Form Consortium, a shared sixth form provision which ran at the town's three high schools.
Sixth form colleges (92 institutions across the country) specialise in teaching full time students aged 16–19. They are the most successful type of sixth form, with excellent results at AS/A-level, and equivalent BTEC Diplomas, and a large percentage of students going on to university. The college is a member of the SFCA (Sixth Form Colleges Association), AOC (Association of Colleges) and ACER (Association of Colleges Eastern Region).
