Summary

Description
English: Louis I of Hungary and Poland. Crest: ostrich holding in its beak a horseshoe
Magyar: Anjou-kori királyi címert kiegészítő sisakdísz. A patkót harapó strucc leginkább Károly Róbert, Nagy Lajos és Zsigmond királyainkhoz kapcsolható. Címerkiegészítő sisakdíszeiken ékeskedve válhattak széles körben ismertté, hiszen Károly Róbert 1326-ban vert ezüst garasán, de Nagy Lajos sisakdíszeként az 1380 körül keletkezett Gerle Herold címerkönyvében (arany koronából két strucctoll között növekvő, csőrével arany patkót tartó struccfej) is megjelenik.
