DescriptionLooking upstream on Fort River, Amherst Massachusetts.JPG
English: Looking upstream from the center of Cushman Brook in Amherst, Massachusetts. Formerly part the industrial area in town, the area has been reclaimed into conservation land (to the right of this picture, on the south side of the river). A bridge belonging to the New England Central Railroad runs over the river towards Montague and was re-constructed in 1939. The area downstream leads to Puffers Pond, formed by damming the river and is popular amongst residents of the down and students from the nearby University of Massachusetts Amherst.
