Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) Long John (bull)
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) for visual identification of the animal in question, at the top of his/her biographical article
Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
Animal deceased since February 2017, a diligent search has found no free images to be available. Animal was a world champion bull worth six figures, so close up access was no easy feat. The only possible access was by attending PRCA or PBR events which needed travel and the luck that the animal might be available in a pen for showing.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) This file will only be used once in Long John's article in his infobox for identification.
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
Low resolution, will not interfere with commercial opportunities of copyright owner. I shrunk the original size of 648 x 365 down before uploading. I shrunk it down to 400 x 266. Now another editor has come in thinking it needs to be shrunk down even more. I had been told by previous editors that as a general rule that an image at that original size getting it down to 400 x 300 was a good target. Thanks. I see the new version of the file is hardly any smaller than the current one, so what was the point?
