It seems that Long Cars are a type of early public transport (strike free perhaps?) [/photos/47297387@N03/ Carol Maddock] refers us to an advertisment in the Irish Times from 1894 which states that we are only 4 miles from sea by long cars constantly running....
There are 13 Car Drivers in the 1901 census for the area, I am presuming they drive this type of car?
