Français : Ed. Lacroix Ltée Tractor No 6. L'entrepreneur Québécois Édouard Lacroix a construit le village forestier de Churchill Depot dans le nord du Maine pour approvisionner les milliers d'employés de son exploitation forestière qui a fonctionné de 1926 à 1938; à l'apogée de l'exploitation, la Edouard "King" Lacroix's Madawaska Company possédait 26 semi-chenillés Lombard (tous numérotés) et un atelier équipé pour entretenir ou réparer 12 machines à la fois. Ce Lombard Log Hauler a été rénové et est exposé au Musée d'État du Maine à Augusta.
English: Ed. Lacroix Ltée Tractor No 6. French Canadian Edouard Lacroix's Madawaska Company was a lumber company operating in northern Maine were it built the small town of Churchill Depot to supply his lumber camps and where his repair shop was; the shop could accommodate 12 gazoline Lombard Log Haulers (the were numbered 1 to 26). This number 6 was renovated and is shown at the Maine State Museum of Augusta. |
