Summary

Description

Introduced, cool-season, annual or short-lived perennial, tufted, leafy grass 35-80 cm tall. A native of Europe, it is commonly sown in lawns and pastures in the south and is often naturalised along roadsides. Not well suited to the north coast’s hot summers. Best suited to moist, low aluminium, highly-fertile

soils.
