Additional information

The Australian copyright of the image portion of the logo has expired since the photo was taken 25 December 1942 (more than 50 years ago and prior to 1 May 1969) and the Australian copyright expired 25 December 1992 (see {{PD-Australia}} and {{PD-AustraliaGov}}). It is in the public domain in the US since it entered the public domain in Australia prior to 1996 (See {{PD-URAA}}). The text portion of the logo is a raster rendering of characters from the Calibri typeface. As such, it is ineligible for copyright in the United States and therefore is in the public domain. The entire image is therefore in the public domain in the US as it does not meet the threshold of originality. However, the logo image was deleted on commons over concern that the addition of the text to the PD image may somehow make the logo subject to Australian copyright, thus the move here with "Do not move to Commons" tagging.
