Summary

Description
English: This image shows exposures of the Log Springs Formation at Guadelupe Box, New Mexico, USA. This formation consists of ferruginous red beds and is interpreted as a terra rossa that developed atop the Mississippian Arroyo Penasco Group. It contains no fossils but is thought to straddle the Mississippian-Pennsylvanian time boundary.
