Description

Locomotion No 1 of the Stockton & Darlington Railway at their 1925 100th anniversary cavalcade.

Note that the 100 year old locomotive is indeed hauling the train, although it is actually propelled by a small petrol engine in its replica tender and the chimney smoke is from burning oily rags for effect!
