This distillery,which is the nearest to the sea on the River Lossie,started production in 1821.The founder's brother commanded the ill fated Charge of the Light Brigade in the Crimean War!!!It was demolished but rebuilt in 1872,1962 and 1971.It is now owned by Diageo.
