| Description |
English: A hypothetic phylogenetic tree displaying two distinct lineages converging into a single hybrid species. The blue represents the hybrid zone of the two lineages, and it does not terminate until the two lineages fuse. Three small scale lineages are displayed to show that hybrids are produced, but eventually reconverge into the final population. Individual introgression events (each possibly producing a hybrid) are shown with a horizontal line. |
