Summary
| Description |
English: Image from Lindesnes municipality, taken from Lindesnes Lighthouse towards the north. The "Pax Monument" is erected in memory of M/S Palatia which was torpedoed here by the English in 1942. Onboard where 986 russian prisoners-of-war, who all died. The statue is of "Russian bird" of the kind woodcut by so many russian prisoners-of-war during the war. |
