English: Lillian Alling, who reportedly walked and sailed from New York City to Teller, Alaska, with her dog, possibly named Bruno. The photograph was taken by Jim Christie, one of the occupants of Cabin 8, who had given her the dog as a companion. Alling was following the Yukon Telegraph Line north through the interior of British Columbia, and Cabin 8 was one of the stations along the way. First created c.1928.
