English: Lifeboat Station, Newbiggin by the Sea This is the oldest operational lifeboat house in the British Isles and Ireland dating from 1851. The current inshore rigid inflatable Lifeboat is launched and recovered from the beach using the DoDo (Drive On-Drive Off) trolley.
