The height of historical lindy hop was the 1930s to the 1940s, therefore accurate depiction of the original dance itself would be best served showing skilled dancers of the era dancing the dance. The dancers depicted here are acknowledged as among the best dancers of the day and the photograph is from a photo shoot where they were explicitly depicted dancing the lindy hop. A comparable photograph depicting skilled dancers doing this dance would have already been found and used by the existing community if it already exists.
