Summary

Description
English: Chinese art maestro Li Keran visiting the studio of Beohar Rammanohar Sinha in Peking in c. 1957. The two artists executed numerous artworks together that include the famous painting ‘‘Meishan Bridge’’ seen hanging in the background. Internationally-acclaimed contemporary artist from Shantiniketan, renowned for his unique Sino-Indian style of painting in mixed-media and watercolour. Rammanohar was mentored by the revivalist modernist Indian maestro Nandalal Bose and also worked with Chinese maestros Qi Baishi, Chen Banding and others. He decorated the original calligraphic manuscript of Constitution of India, played an important role in India’s cultural diplomacy with the Far East, painted a multitude of murals in Fresco-secco and exhibited his paintings worldwide. His art is a part of numerous prestigious public and private collections in European, North American and Asian countries.
