Summary

Description
English: This image was captured on July 6, 2014, during the investigation of a leptospirosis outbreak in Ngemplak, Boyolali, Indonesia, whereupon, Indonesian Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) residents worked with the Boyolali District Health Department, and the Center for Environmental Health Engineering and Disease Control of Yogyakarta Province, to screen residents of Ngemplak for leptospirosis. In this particular view, a FETP technician was pipetting a sample of blood from the tip of a man’s finger, which would later be tested for the presence of Leptospira sp. bacteria.
