Summary

Description
English: Two commedia dell'arte actors taking a bow. It is thought to depict Giovan Battista Andreini as "Lelio" and his wife Virginia Ramponi-Andreini as "Florinda". The portrait is from The Feather Book, a series of images made entirely of bird feathers. The creator was Dionisio Minaggio, the Chief Gardener of the Duchy of Milan. The book primarily contained images of birds but also contained sets of images depicting hunters, tradesmen, musicians and commedia dell'arte actors. This portrait (plate 111) is from the collection of commedia dell'arte actors.
