DescriptionLeighton Buzzard Railway - P C Allen on manoeuvres (geograph 5560741).jpg
English: Leighton Buzzard Railway - P C Allen on manoeuvres. -- This was part of the process of getting the engines in the right order for the cavalcade of steam and diesel engines at the end of the day. This was fun but the light was very bad by then. This is engine No. 11 - 'P C Allen' and is an 0-4-0WT by Orenstein & Koppel, works No. 5834 of 1913 and a standard 20 HP type (639 of these were built). It weighs in at 5.57 tons. It worked at a Solvay alkali works, Torrelavega, Spain. The locomotive is named after the chairman of ICI from 1968 to 1971 who was apparently an enthusiast and arranged the rescue of this engine.
