La salle des membranophones de gauche à droite, dans les deux vitrines : - les Toumbeleki, tambours en poterie - les Daouli et Toubi (tambours frappés avec des baguettes) - les Defi et Tamboutsa (tambourins sur cadre avec ou sans cymbalettes) Le musée des instruments de musique populaire grecque à Athènes conserve et expose la collection de 1.200 instruments (du 18ème siècle à nos jours) réunis par son donateur le musicologue Fivos Anoyanakis (1915-2003). Le musée se définit comme un centre d'ethnomusicologie grecque. Installé dans une maison néo-classique construite en 1840, le centre a été inauguré en 1991 puis rénové en 2012 par le ministère grec de la culture, avec le soutien de deux fondations, pour en faire un musée national. Il dispose de quatre grandes salles d'exposition, d'une bibliothèque et d'un centre d'archives. L'exposition permanente a été conçue par le donateur en collaboration avec l'ethnomusicologue Lampros Liavas et l'architecte Kostis Adamopoulos. Le but du musée est de présenter non seulement les instruments mais également les mythes, rites et pratiques sociales auxquels ils sont associés ainsi que les musiciens eux-mêmes.
