Summary
[edit]Two photos by Lawrence's wife (my mother) who died in the 1960s. The top photo was taken in World War II and shows in the background the external access to their house larder — because of no electricity, there was no fridge in the house. The Dingle (now called Dingle House) had (as in all East Dundry} no electricity, gas, mains water (water was from a well) and a manual (no dial) Chew Magna 81 telephone number.
