English: Latua pubiflora ( Griseb. ) Baillon in flower in Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Mid-shot of lower branches showing arching / weeping habit. Mature specimen ( circa 2m x 1.5m with trunk circa 11cm at base ). Growing in open space in a shrubbery beside the Palm House in the shade of a very large specimen of Pinus nigra ssp. pallasiana.
Specimen shrub surrounded by dense carpet of ivy. Site rather dry for this species, but flowering fairly well and suckering to produce new plants. Photo shows contrast between vigorous, leafy Spring shoots and attractive, campanulate, magenta flowers.
