Description

Larder Lake Gold Ore (2.1 cm across) with auriferous quartz hydrothermal vein in Archean-aged, fuchsite-rich metamorphic rock. Fuchsite is a greenish, chromian mica.

Locality: Chesterville Mine, Larder Lake Mining District, Ontario, Canada.

Specimen owned by Ohio State University's Geology Department (Columbus, Ohio, USA).
