Summary

Description German mass grave near the entrance of the German military cemetary (Soldatenfriedhof) of Langemark, West-Flanders, Belgium. Photo by Tim Bekaert. This mass grave contains 24.917 soldiers of which 7.977 remain unknown. The names of the known soldiers are shown on the basalt block that surround the grave. In German this grave is called the Kameradengrab. These soldiers were killed during the First World War.
