Description
Emperor Joseph II’s Confirmation of the Validity of the title of Count granted to the Lanckoroński family. Velum document in a red velvet cover in the form of a book with the emperor’s seal, written in Latin. On page six there is a painted Zadora coat of arms. From the Lanckoroński family collection.
Comital coat of arms of the Lanckoronski h. Zadora family. The Lanckoronskis obtained the hereditary title of Count in the Holy Roman Empire from Emperor Josef II on 25th May 1774 Heydel-Mankoo’s
It is a quarterly shield with an inescutcheon:
on 2 & 5 Poland (the white eagle)
on 3 & 4 Zadora proper (a lion head belching out flames)
on 1 a lion with a sword.
