Summary

Description
English: Drawing showing construction of open parallel wire transmission line, often called "ladder line". It consists of two bare wires held a precise distance apart by insulating spacers, usually made of plastic. It is used for feedline connecting antennas with radio receivers and transmitters. It's advantage is that by using a minimum amount of dielectric insulating material it has less attenuation (power loss) per meter than other types of transmission line such as Twin lead or coaxial cable.
