Ar Latvijas Republikas Kultūras ministrijas 30. jūlija lēmumu Nr.02.2-6-23 ir apstiprināts un ģerboņu reģistrā reģistrēts Jēkabpils novada ģerbonis.

Turpmāk šo simbolu varēsim izmantot gan pašvaldības oficiālajā dokumentācijā, gan prezentācijas materiālos.
