Description

The Louisiana Distinguished Civilian Service Medal is awarded by the Adjutant General upon recommendation of awards board to a civilian who has rendered exceptionally meritorious service in furthering the security and welfare of the State. The performance must be such as to merit recognition for service which is clearly exceptional. Major General Bennett C. Landreneau awarded Michelle Jester this honor on June 28, 2007(PO 179-003).[1] Brigadier General Stephen C. Dabadie awarded Chief Barbry this honor on October, 28, 2008.[2] Major General Glenn H. Curtis (Adjutant general) awarded State Senator Robert R. Adley this honor on December 2, 2016[3] Colonel Col. Keith Waddell awarded David Alexander and Chad Lynch this honor on June 5, 2018[4]
