ANMERKUNG ZU DEM GEGENÜBERSTEHENDEN LITOGRAPHISCHEN DRUCKE.

Der hier vorgestellte Jüngling hieß eigentlich Christian Jakob Petersohn, und war der Sohn des Kirchenknechts der Schwedischen und Ehstl. Gemeine bei der Kronskirche zu S. Jakob in Riga. Er schämte sich nicht ein Ehste zu seyn, sondren wählte sich sogar den Namen Jacob Ehstn. Jaak, der unter seinem Bilde steht, zum Lieblings Namen in welchem das J eben so lautet, wie im Teutschen Jacob. Er war 1801 d 2 Mart geb. studirte in Dorpat, und starb Anno 1822 d 23 Julij. Die Natur hatte ihn mit vortrefflichen Gaben ausgerüstet, wie in seiner Biographie in den Rig. Stadtblättern A 1822 p 297 sehr richtig gesagt ist. Auch hat er verschiedenes geschrieben. Sprachen waren sein Lieblings Studium. vid. ibidem p. 366 auch die Litterärischen Anzeigen von 1821 p 24
