Description
English: Kriesler 'Beehive' radio, Model 11-4. There were numerous variants of this type and the one in the photograph is variant 'EZ'. Manufactured by Kriesler Radio Company, Newtown Australia, from 1946 up to 1948. Its case was designed by Douglas Snelling. In advertisements of the time, it was called a 'Sealed Midget' radio, and is known colloquially as a 'Beehive'.
