English: Peter Kollwitz (1896–1914), youngest son of Karl Kollwitz (1863–1940, née Johannes Carl August Kollwitz) and Käthe Kollwitz (1867–1945), née Schmidt. The picture was probably made at the infantry training area of Wünsdorf south from Berlin. On October 12, 1914, there he said goodbye to his mother leaving to the Western front.
