Description

Knightia eocaena (Jordan, 1907) (synonym Knightia humilis) - fossil fish in lacustrine marlstone from the early Eocene Green River Formation of Wyoming, USA. (CMC VP5183, Cincinnati Museum of Natural History & Science, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA)

The Green River Formation of Utah-Colorado-Wyoming is famous for having vast oil shale deposits and for having exquisitely-preserved fossils.
