BORN AUGUST 19TH 1858. DIED OCTOBER 20TH 1884
HE ENTERED THE MEDICAL DEPARTMENT OF KING'S COLLEGE IN OCTOBER 1877
HAVING BEEN PREVUOISLY EDUCATED AT KING'S COLLEGE SCHOOL
AND WAS SCHOLAR AND GOLD MEDALIST OF THE UNIVERSITY OF LONDON IN 1883
IN 1882 HE SERVED AS HOUSE PHYSICIAN TO KING'S COLLEGE HOSPITAL
IN 1884 HE WAS APPOINTED SENIOR RESIDENT OFFICER AT THE ROYAL FREE HOSPITAL
WHERE ON OCTOBER 10TH 1884
HE CONTRACTED DIPHTHERIA BY SUCKING A TRACHEOTOMY TUBE
IN THE HOPE OF SAVING THE LIFE OF A CHILD.
THE SELF SACRIFICE OF HIS DEATH ANSWERED TO THE UNSELFISHNESS OF HIS LIFE.
