Summary

Description
English: Kilton Ironstone Mine. Rising above the landscape like an Ayers Rock the spoil tip is known locally as 'Kilton Hill'. Still as it was when the mine was abandoned in 1963 although it looks as though some salvage has been removed probably for farm track repairs. For more information on the Kilton Ironstone Mine see 681980.
