English: The picture depicts "Khambana Kei Phaba" (meaning "the capture of the wild tiger by Khuman Khamba" in Meitei/Manipuri/Meetei language). It is one of the most important Meitei mythological and folkloric subjects, from the "Moirang Shayon" legends of the "Moirang Kangleirol" genre of Kangleipak (present day Manipur).
