English: U.S. Embassy Tel Aviv hosted a delegation from the NBA which toured Israel on the past week and conduct special clinics bringing together local players from diverse backgrounds. The delegation was led by Kelenna Azubuike, who played for the Golden State Warriors among other NBA teams, and Temeka Johnson, who won a WNBA championship with the Phoenix Mercury and earned the 2005 WNBA Rookie of the Year award. The purpose of the program is to use sports to strengthen the bilateral relations between the US and Israel, as well as to strengthen the relations between different communities within Israel, as part of the U.S. Department of State's Sports United Sports Envoy program.
