Description
English: "Katsushika", by Takahashi Shôtei (1871 01 02 - 1945 02 11(?)); Japanese woodblock print, Shin Hanga (genre); Mitsugiri-ban sized, & this example is scroll-mounted. This is the pre-quake version of the design(?); original blocks presumed destroyed in the great Kanto earthquake of 1923, design was re-created (with alterations) & re-issued post-quake. Scanset: image 01 of 02, lower half.
