Summary

Description
English: An animation of the Kamchatka meteor's smoke trail over 3.5 hours at 10 minute intervals. The timelapse is constructed from the multiple images that the JMA's Himawari 8 satellite takes of the entire Earth. The smoke trail is remarkably long-lived, taking several hours to dissipate fully compared to the few minutes that many bolides' smoke trails take to dissipate.
