English: Recently hatched Zygoballus sexpunctatus spiderling. This stage is referred to as the larval or postembryonic stage and is before the spider's first molt. At this stage the spider lacks eye lenses, foot pads, or functioning spinnerets. Normally jumping spiders do not leave the egg sac until after the first molt, but this one was extracted for photographing. The total body length is approximately 1.25 mm.
