Summary

Description
English: Painting of the fight between the German auxiliary cruiser SS Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse and the British cruiser HMS Highflyer on 26 August 1914. The German ship was caught refuelling off the shore of the then Spanish colony of Rio de Oro in western Africa and was sunk or scuttled after her ammunition ran out.
Français : Peinture du combat entre le croiseur auxiliaire allemand Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse et le croiseur britannique Highflyer le 26 août 1914. Le navire allemand a été pris par surprise au large de Rio de Oro à l'ouest de l'Afrique et a été sabordé suite à la bataille.
