Description
English: This photo, by an unknown photographer, appeared in a 1910 issue of the Catholic German magazine "Deutscher Hausschatz". It shows a friendly meeting in a military context of Theodore Roosevelt (center) with his son Kermit (left) and the German Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II near the town of Döberitz. According to the newspaper, Roosevelt had visited European capitals like Rome and Vienna before recieving his honorary doctorate in Berlin on May 12, 1910.
Deutsch: Dieses Foto eines unbekannten bzw. nicht genannten Fotografen erschien 1910 in der katholischen Wochenzeitschrift "Deutscher Hausschatz". Es zeigt ein freundschaftliches Treffen in einem militärischen Kontext von Ex-US-Präsident Theodore Roosevelt (Mitte), seinem Sohn Kermit (links) und dem Deutschen Kaiser Wilhelm II. (auf dem Schimmel) bei der Stadt Döberitz. Laut der Zeitschrift hatten die Roosevelts zuvor unter anderem Rom, Paris und Wien besucht und waren dann in Berlin angekommen, wo "Teddy" Roosevelt die Ehrendoktorwürde annahm.

Der Kaiser trägt über dem Paletot einen Trauerflor am Arm.

Links im Bild Leibgendarmerie mit Kaiserstandarte, im Hintergrund am rechten Bildrand ein Adjutant (erkennbar an der Adjutantenschärpe). Der Kaiser trägt die Uniform eines Garderegiments (–> breiter Gardeadler am Helm, Litzenkragen), die genaue Einheit ist nicht erkennbar.
