An original copy of this U.S. Government map Kaibab National Forest is cataloged as Map#00175 in the map archives of the Sharlot Hall Museum. The museum is in Arizona, while the uploader is in Kansas; all communication and licensing was via telephone and email.

A low-resolution front and reverse of the 1976 Kaibab National Forest map is available to the public on the Sharlot Hall Museum website, here.

The uploader purchased access to the museum's high-resolution scan of the map on January 10, 2023. As previously discussed with the museum, the uploader made two clips from the high-resolution scan. The uploader then applied to the museum for permission to upload the two clips.

The museum confirmed that as a U.S. government publication, the 1976 Kaibab National Forest map is public domain, and the museum granted the use of the clippings on Wikimedia Commons, waving any fees.
