English: A kaassoufflé (lit. "cheese soufflé") normally refers to a Dutch snack of melted cheese inside a thin dough-based wrap which has been breaded and then deep-fried. It is either bought ready made frozen and deep-fried at home, or be bought as one of the standard snacks at a Dutch fastfood venue called "snackbar". Itis also possible to make a kaassoufflé at home by wrapping a slice of cheese inside puff pastry and then baking this in an oven. A Dutch kaassoufflé usually comes in two different shapes, either a half-moon as seen here, or as a rectangle. Although it is called a soufflé, it has nothing in common with a real soufflé.
