Summary

Description A U.S. Air Force Boeing B-52D-60-BO Stratofortress (s/n 55-0097) is refueled by a Boeing KC-135A Stratotanker (s/n 60-0347) on its way from Vietnam to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, during the Vietnam War. The B-52D 55-0097 sustained crash damage at U-Tapao Air Base, Thailand on 15 October 1972 and was scrapped in February 1973.
