Summary

Description
English: K'iaqbal, Cantel, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Maya ritual site with a couple of pre-Columbian scultpures. Stela fragment with part of a sculpture, probably representing an earspool and portion of headdress. This stone is used as a modern altar and is referred to in K'iche' as Belejeb Batz' ("nine monkey"), and in Spanish as "El Mono" ("the monkey").
Español: K'iaqbal, municipio de Cantel, departamento de Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Sitio ritual maya, con dos escuturas precolombinas. Fragmento de una estela con una porción de una escultura; probablemente representa una orejera y parte de un tocado. Esta piedra actualmente se usa de altar, y se refiere en idioma quiché como Belejeb Batz' ("nueve mono"), y en español simplemente como "El Mono".
