Slovenščina: Slika Pred lovom prikazuje lovca,ki pred s soncem obsijanimi vrati pregleduje puško. Slika kaže na slikarjevo natančno opazovanje barvnih odbleskov,igro sonca in sence,trepetanje ozračja v barvnih tonih itd. Šubic je sliko l. 1883 kot prvi Slovenec razstavil v pariškem Salonu in z njo dosegel lepo priznanje.
