DescriptionJupiter rotation over 3 hours with 11 inch telescope.gif
English: This is a time-lapse video of the planet Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system and its moon Ganymede.
It was captured using an 8 inch SCT telescope through several hours.
Each 30 seconds one video of about 500 frames was captured, and later each of those videos was stacked into one image which became one frame of the final video.
A tracking mount was also used to keep the planet in the same spot as well as a guiding software which sent small corrections to the mount.
