English: Composite, made by me, of Image:Juno_wounded2.jpg (shown below) and pictures I took of the same bunker on Juno Beach in September 2006. Top image was taken on D-Day and shows Canadian wounded next to an Atlantic Wall bunker. Middle shows the same bunker in 2006 from roughly the same angle, with the same shell hit visible on both structures; note how far the sand has risen up the seawall. The gentleman in the jacket and white shirt standing to the left of the bunker is French and claimed to have been present on D-Day. He claimed that the bunker then held a 50mm anti-tank gun, and said that a gun on display in nearby Courseulles-sur-Mer near the Juno Beach Centre was in fact the gun removed from this bunker. Bottom shows the view from inside the bunker. Note that the bunker doesn't point out to sea, but down the beach to allow for enfilading fire. You can see that any soldiers who sheltered behind the seawall would have still been completely exposed to this gun.
