Description
English: Judaage Aminat Didi. Wife of Karaange Husein Didi, my neighbor and one of my hosts. She is wearing the simple customary libaas worn by all southern Maldivian women before the modern islamization promoted by President Maumoon. Fua Mulaku women initially resisted and the first "burugaa" head covering reached Fua Mulaku only in 1989.
